Welcome to the website providing information about a lawsuit filed in the United States Court of Federal Claims on behalf of up to 1.3 million “essential” employees of the United States Government. The lawsuit claims that the United States government violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) by failing to pay essential employees minimum wage and overtime compensation when due during the October 2013 government shutdown.
The Government shall begin sending court approved notice to employees covered by the lawsuit on March 9, 2015. You do not need to wait until you receive a notice from the government to join the case. If you do not receive a notice, but believe that you should, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finally, there is no risk to employees to join the case. The law firm is fronting all of the expenses of the case and the employees will not have to pay anything if we do not win the case.
